Happy 20th Birthday, Hirajima Natsumi!
Today, you’re officially, legally an adult. I first became a fan of yours shortly before you turned 16, so that feels pretty crazy, even though I’m only a year older than you. I hope you know that I will always be supporting you, no matter where you are or what you’re doing. Whether you return to the entertainment industry or decide to have a normal life from here on out, all I want is for you to be happy and healthy. But of course, I’d love the chance to see you and support you as an entertainer again. No matter what, you will always be my number one in the entertainment world - no other idol, actor, musician, or anyone could ever come close. I will always call myself a Nacchan oshi, even if I should just tell people which current member I support. Because I’ll only ever feel right calling myself that. Being your fan has become a part of my identity these last few years, as ridiculous as that may sound. There are people who associate Nacchan icons with me, and I feel so at home when I look at your pictures. I can’t think of a bedroom wall that could be more perfect for me than the one covered in your posters. Thanks for being a part of my life, even from the other side of the world. And I hope that the people who are a part of yours made sure you had the loveliest day.
なっちゃん!20歳おめでとう!
がんばりなっちゃん!Ganbarinacchan!

When we first meet Jonas he might come off as spoiled, but he’s so much more than that. Above all, he’s lonely. He’s lost his parents, the nanny who largely raised him left when he turned eighteen, and his friends all bailed on him when he stopped throwing wild parties. Like our original main character, Bree, he basically spends all his time cooped up in his house alone. Is it any wonder that he falls for her in the end?
He offers to help because he understands her, and he has the means to do so, and he’s bored. It turns his entire life upside down, but he deals with it, and commits himself fully to saving Bree. But they lose the fight. Bree dies, and Jonas falls apart for awhile. And then it turns out that the Order was actually messing with his life all along, because they have his parents and his sister, Emma, is the next ceremony girl.
So he gets back into the fight. He immediately steps into the role of caring older brother to the adopted sister he’s only just met, and he fights to save her life. Because she’s his sister, and because he couldn’t save Bree, and because he never wants to see the Order claim another innocent girl’s life again. Because this is redemption.

Everything bad that has ever happened to me in my life has been because someone has been trying to protect me.
